Men, Women, and the Paradoxes of Transformational Change
  • Aging is accompanied by a multitude of life changes and the emergence of a number of neuropsychiatric disorders.

Topics of this workshop include understanding the normal facets of aging, differential diagnosis of depression and dementia, complicated bereavement, psychological and psychopharmacologic treatments for geriatric clients, legal and ethical issues, and social and spiritual aspects of aging.

  • As professional ethics codes, regulations and case law become increasingly complex, busy practitioners often find it difficult to keep up with these developments and may unknowingly be at increased risk for lawsuits or ethics and licensing complaints.

This course provides an organized, coherent overview of recent ethical, regulatory and other legal changes that affect professional practice.
